name etymology;RowanStorm was first named for his dark red pelt, the same color as the berries of a Rowan Tree. Throughout his training as an apprentice, Rowanpaw reveled a fierce loyalty to his Clan. He was given his current suffix after an intense skirmish with a band of rogues.
religious outlook;RowanStorm honestly cannot decide if StarClan actually exists. He respects his ancestors, but is skeptical about the 'fact' that they live up in the sky and watch over the living cats. It's actually his own skepticism that frightens him the most. He's afraid that he'll never be accepted as a real Clan leader because he doesn't really believe.

appearance; There's no cat in ThunderClan that would deny RowanStorm's... "rugged" looks. Sure, he's crafty now, but he didn't get that way over night. Just look at his scars! This once-hansom young tom has been sticking his head into one too many owls' nests. If one can get passed the scars on his face, they'd see that this tom is true to ThunderClan form. He's tall and well-fit, giving him the appearance of a very versatile warrior- and that he is. RowanStorm has a dark red pelt which fades to black along his limbs, spine, and ears. His eyes are a deep, stormy-blue, which most cats say are the reason for his warrior name. He has many scars. The most prominent of which are a long gash on his left front leg from a battle with a dog, claw marks on his throat from his own brother, and eight deep talon marks on his face from a fight with an owl.
personality;RowanStorm is kinder than what his scars would have you believe. Although he enjoys seeing cats' first reaction to him, he's no longer the tough brute he thought he would be. He wins his battles with brains rather than brawn and cats begin to realize this when they see how respectful and polite he can be. As Deputy, he carries an air of authority around him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like to play sometimes.

history;Kithood
There was a glow emanating from Silverkit. Rowankit didn't know what, but old EmberStar visited the nursery frequently, always gazing at Silverkit for some reason and speaking in a hushed tone to her Deputy. Rowankit and Foxkit didn't mind, but Smokekit seemed angered by her visits and always tried to knock Silverkit out of the way in order to be looked upon and praised by his Leader. The praise never came, which made Smokekit's fur bristle.
Apprenticeship
Halfway through their training, the three toms were taken aside by their Leader, who had taken Silverpaw as her apprentice. EmberStar explained that Silverpaw seemed to be the right cat to stand beside her Deputy when EmberStar died. She said she had a glow that came from StarClan, which meant that she was to be Leader one day.
Foxpaw and Rowanpaw loved the idea of having their sister as Leader. Both were sure that they would be Deputy during her reign. Smokepaw growled lowly, but perked his ears when everyone looked at him. He said he would be proud to follow his sister.
One moon later, while Foxpaw and Rowanpaw were practicing their battle skills, Smokepaw brought a message, calling their mentors away. As the eldest, and having perfected the move they were working on, Smokepaw volunteered to supervise the training. Once the mentors were out of earshot, Smokepaw attacked his brothers, proclaiming that he would be the Deputy after he killed all of his siblings.
Foxpaw died after the first slash was delivered, his neck ripped open by his own brother's claws. Rowanpaw yowled and attacked his elder brother in a storm of furious teeth and claws. His mentor, having heard the yowl, ran back to find the apprentices in a bloody mess of torn skin and fur. Smokepaw immediately reeled off a story about a rogue in the area. Having slashed at Rowanpaw's vocal chords, his brother was unable to speak against him. Before Rowanpaw was confined to the Shaman's den, he and his surviving siblings were made warriors.
Warrior Life
Still unable to speak, RowanStorm went through his duties as a warrior growling and hissing in his own simple code. SmokePelt laughed at this secretly as he plotted against his siblings. RowanStorm could wait. It was SilverFlame who needed to be eliminated. Uknown to his brother, SmokePelt had taken the Deputy aside. A word between brother and sister, he claimed that he knew of a tom who was interested in her. Believing that she was going to get the "be careful of him" speech, she let her guard down. SmokePelt ripped her throat out just as he had Foxpaw's and had tried to do with RowanStorm's.
As SmokePelt washed his paw off in the lake, RowanStorm came across the horrific scene and yowled his brother's name as loud as he could. Forcing the words out, he vowed vengeance and attacked his last remaining sibling. A near by patrol joined in and separated them, dragging them and their dead sister back to camp.
The trial was held before the whole of ThunderClan. RowanStorm revealed that it was SmokePelt who killed Foxpaw, not a rogue. This and SilverFlame's fur between SmokePelt's toes was enough to send him into exile. However, as an insult to his ambitions, he was forced to watch as the Leader made RowanStorm the new Deputy in place of his sister.
Deputy Life
RowanStorm has been Deputy for a few moons now. He tries to live it for his sister, but he just isn't the same cat. He's always getting into trouble, what with dogs and foxes roaming into ThunderClan territory... He even stuck his head into an owl's nest! Some Deputy he's turning out to be...
