The Moonpool, a pool of water sacred to StarClan and to medicine cats, is situated at the bottom of a stone hollow. Water runs from above a steep cliff, feeding the pool, and then exiting it through a small stream that marks the border between ThunderClan and WindClan. A worn path of pawprints leads the way along the narrow path towards the pool, showing that many cats have walked this way before. To share tongues with StarClan, the cats either lap up a few drops of the water or simply touch their noses to it.
